- Go West on Virginia Parkway for approximately 5 miles. The beach and tennis club will be on the left

Course
Kids Age 6 - 10:
50 meter swim in the beach pool—3 mile bike—0.5 mile run
Kids Age 11 - 14:
1,000 meter swim in the beach pool—6 mile bike (2 loops)—1 mile run (2 loops)
Transition will be open from 6:30am–8:00am
Course Notes
- Swim Course: In beach/pool area with lifeguards on duty (not in the lake where the adults swim on Sunday).
- Bike Course: On nice concrete urban road with cones separating kids from cars along with police support. The course is slightly hilly, but fun!
- Run Course: On grass. There will be an aid station equipped with water and Gatorade.

USAT Membership
The Kids Playtri Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned events. All participants must be a current annual member of USAT or purchase an annual youth license for $5 at packet pick up. Do not send USAT permit fee with entry fee.
All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced. You must show your child's USAT member card and your photo ID at packet pick up–no exceptions. Parents/Legal Guardians may pick up packets for their children and the child does not have to be there. If your child is an annual USAT member and you do not bring the member card to packet pick up, you must buy another $5 annual membership. No exceptions.
Awards & Amenities
All finishers will receive a finisher's medal. All participants who pick up their packets will receive a goodie bag and t-shirt. Only those participants registered by September 1st are guaranteed to get their t-shirt size.
Benefiting Charity
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia Society of America.

Weather & Water Temperature
Average temperature on race day: low 70 - high 85.
Water temperature could be wetsuit legal. USAT Wetsuit rules will apply—participants allowed to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
For safety reasons, Playtri reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes. |
